What Every Germany Airport Transfer Includes
Live flight tracking — if your flight lands early or late, your pickup adjusts automatically, at no extra charge.
Meet-and-greet — your chauffeur waits in the arrivals area with a name board and helps with your luggage.
Fixed, all-inclusive pricing — the full price is confirmed in writing before you travel, so traffic never changes what you pay.
Discretion — unmarked vehicles and chauffeurs who never discuss the journeys they carry out.
Frankfurt Airport Transfer
Frankfurt Airport is Germany’s busiest airport and one of Europe’s largest hubs, about 12 km southwest of the city centre. It has two terminals, and Terminal 1 has several halls, so we confirm your terminal and hall from your flight number before you land.
Approximate travel times from Frankfurt Airport:
FRA to the city centre and the banking district — around 20 minutes.
FRA to Messe Frankfurt — around 20 to 25 minutes.
FRA to Wiesbaden or Mainz — around 30 to 40 minutes.
FRA to Heidelberg — about 90 km, around 1 hour.
FRA to Cologne — about 190 km, around 2 hours.
Trade fairs at Messe Frankfurt. Messe Frankfurt hosts some of the world’s largest trade fairs, including the Frankfurt Book Fair. During major fairs, hotels fill up across the region and many visitors stay in Wiesbaden, Mainz or Darmstadt. We run daily transfers between hotels and the fairground, and hourly hire for busy exhibitor days.
Munich Airport Transfer
Munich Airport is far from the city: it’s about 35 km northeast of the centre. A private chauffeur turns a long journey with luggage into a direct, comfortable ride. Lufthansa and its partners mainly use Terminal 2.
Approximate travel times from Munich Airport:
MUC to the city centre (Marienplatz) — around 40 to 50 minutes.
MUC to Messe München — around 35 to 40 minutes.
MUC to Garmisch-Partenkirchen — about 130 km, around 1 hour 30 minutes.
MUC to Neuschwanstein Castle — around 2 hours.
MUC to Salzburg, Austria — about 180 km, around 2 hours.
Oktoberfest, trade fairs and the Alps. During Oktoberfest and major trade fairs at Messe München, hotels and vehicles book out months ahead. We plan drop-offs at workable points near the Theresienwiese and coordinate group transport. In winter, we run transfers to the Bavarian and Austrian Alps in winter-equipped SUVs.
Düsseldorf Airport Transfer
Düsseldorf Airport is one of the closest airports to its city in Germany, about 8 km from the centre and right next to the Messe Düsseldorf exhibition grounds.
Approximate travel times from Düsseldorf Airport:
DUS to the city centre and König Sallée — around 15 to 20 minutes.
DUS to Messe Düsseldorf — around 10 minutes.
DUS to Essen — about 30 km, around 30 minutes.
DUS to Cologne — about 50 km, around 45 minutes.
DUS to Dortmund — about 70 km, around 1 hour.
Trade fairs at Messe Düsseldorf. Messe Düsseldorf hosts major international fairs such as MEDICA, boot and drupa. During these weeks, many visitors stay across the Rhine-Ruhr region. We run transfers from hotels in Cologne, Essen and Duisburg to the fairground, and hourly hire for exhibitors.
Hamburg Airport Transfer
Hamburg Airport is about 8.5 km north of the city centre, so most transfers into the city take 20 to 30 minutes.
Approximate travel times from Hamburg Airport:
HAM to the city centre and Jungfernstieg — around 20 to 25 minutes.
HAM to HafenCity and the Elbphilharmonie — around 25 to 30 minutes.
HAM to the cruise terminals — around 25 to 35 minutes.
HAM to Lübeck — about 70 km, around 1 hour.
HAM to Bremen — about 120 km, around 1 hour 30 minutes.
Hamburg cruise terminals. Hamburg has several cruise terminals, including Altona, Steinwerder and HafenCity. Tell us your ship and terminal when you book. We schedule pickups around disembarkation and offer direct transfers to the airport or your hotel.
Intercity Transfers Across Germany
Germany’s motorways make chauffeur-driven intercity travel fast and comfortable, often door-to-door in less time than the train once you include station transfers. We run fixed-rate transfers between Frankfurt, Munich, Düsseldorf, Cologne and Hamburg, and across the border to Salzburg, Zurich, Amsterdam and Brussels. Longer journeys include rest stops, and the price is confirmed before you travel.
Hourly Hire and Roadshows
Hourly hire keeps the vehicle and chauffeur with you for as long as you need them. It suits investor roadshows between Frankfurt’s banks, multi-stop days at a trade fair, and sightseeing in each city. Your documents stay in the car, your chauffeur waits nearby, and you move when you’re ready. A minimum booking period applies, and we confirm the full price when we quote.
Private Aviation Transfers in Germany
All four airports have a dedicated General Aviation Terminal (GAT) for private and business jets, separate from the passenger terminals:
Frankfurt— General Aviation Terminal in the south of the airport, handled by Business Aviation Centre (BAC) Frankfurt and other handlers. Frankfurt has a night flight ban on arrivals from 23:00.
Munich — General Aviation Terminal on the east side of the airport (follow signs for “General Aviation / GAT”), with handlers including ExecuJet, Signature, MAS and Lufthansa Technik. The GAT can’t be reached by public transport, so a pre-booked car is essential.
Düsseldorf — Executive Terminal in the west of the airport, operated by Jet Aviation.
Hamburg — General aviation handling by GAS Hamburg Aviation Service and other handlers.
We provide transfers between the GAT and your hotel, office or residence, timed to your aircraft rather than an arrivals board. Share your terminal, aircraft tail number and estimated arrival or departure time when you book, and we’ll adjust the pickup if your schedule changes.
Black Drive is an independent chauffeur service and is not affiliated with any of the airports or aviation companies listed above.
