Lisbon Airport Transfer: What to Expect at LIS
Lisbon Airport is only about 7 km from the city centre, which makes it one of the closest major airports to its capital in Europe. The airport itself is where travellers get confused, so here’s what you need to know.
Every flight arrives at Terminal 1. Whichever airline you fly with, you land at Terminal 1, where passport control, baggage reclaim and the arrivals hall are. With meet-and-greet, your chauffeur waits in the Terminal 1 arrivals hall with a name board, helps with your luggage and walks you to the vehicle.
Terminal 2 is for departures only. A group of low-cost airlines, including Ryanair, Wizz Air, Vueling, Transavia, Volotea, Eurowings and Norwegian, departs from Terminal 2, about 1 km away. Check your boarding pass before your return trip and tell us your airline, so your chauffeur drops you at the right terminal. easyJet and the full-service airlines depart from Terminal 1.
New EU border checks. Travellers from outside the EU now go through the EU Entry/Exit System (EES), which scans fingerprints and a photo at passport control. The first time can add some extra minutes, so we track your flight and adjust the pickup to when you actually reach arrivals. Your Lisbon airport transfer is never charged extra for border or baggage delays.
